Argument post

Last night I got into an argument with one of my friends over which skate park is better, Carlsbad or the YMCA. He believes that the Carlsbad skate park is better because it is free and has lights. This means that you can skate until 10 pm when the weather is cooler and better for skating. He also likes the fact that you are not forced to wear a helmet or any sort of padding at the Carlsbad skate park. The YMCA skate park does not have lights and closes when the sun goes down. The YMCA is usually not free and you have to wear at least a helmet to skate there.  On the other hand The YMCA is much larger and has much more obstacles to skate such as a street course, two cement bowls, and a half pipe. The Carlsbad skate park consists of a small street course and a very shallow and poorly shaped cement bowl.  Wearing a helmet is also for your safety and even though you are not forced to wear one at the Carlsbad skate park, if a police officer drives by and sees you without one he is able to site you a ticket. I also reminded him that our friend just got a job at the YMCA skate park and is able to let us skate for free whenever he is working. Also there is a full snack bar and refreshing pool that you can use for two dollars after you are done skating. By using logos my foolish friend soon realized that there was much more things to skate, a refreshing pool, and a snack bar that made the YMCA a much better place to shred.
